			RECREATIONAL CENTRES FOR THE ELDERLY (KAPI) The Recreational Centres for the elderly of the municipality of Xanthi had 1,650 registered members by the end of 1996. The KAPI provide, exercise programmes, social groups, gatherings as well as physiotherapy. A registered nurse and a general practitioner visit the KAPI twice a week. A maid provides assistance to those unable to take care of themselves.
