It is a two-storey building covering a total space of approximately 675 sq. meters . It has been owned by the Municipality of Xanthi since 1993.

Build in the mid 1900s at a central spot of the old town and very near the hear of the city, it features exquisite examples of the Western-Macedonian and Epirotic traditional architecture with one-of-a-kind wooden carved ceilings. A section of the building collapsed two years ago.

The building was restored by the Municipality of Xanthi and now houses the Municipal Gallery.
