Kindergarten of Stalios

The Kindergarten of Stalios was founded by P. Stalios, one of Xanthi’s strongest and wealthiest tobacco producers, who enjoyed expansive political and social strength. The building is located in the area of Metropolis , specifically on Antikas 18A and Matsine Streets in Old Xanthi.

It was built in 1881, a few years following the founding of the Mastinios School, which is also located in the same block and is directly linked with the historic development of the said building.
