Xanthi - Organisation For The Promotion Of Thrace





			ORGANISATION FOR THE PROMOTION OF THRACE MUNICIPALITY OF THRACE It was established in the beginning of 1994. Its main aim is the cooperation with the associations and federations of all the Thracian people and with the Secretariat General of Greeks Abroad. The Organisation for the promotion of Thrace is interested in informing all the Thracian people on educational and financial issues, so that their money can be poured into their place of origin. It has participated in the Organising committee of the third International Thrace Conference, which is being organized every two years. In 1996 of May it had participated in the manifestations that took place in Germany, of the Thracian people Federation in Germany and in the Central Europe. Furthermore, it has participated with their representatives in the manifestations of Thessaloniki and Athens Associations and Federations for the Freedom of Thrace. In the summer of 1996 with the financial assistance of Xanthi’s Municipality the Thracian folklore music group of Thrace went over to Canada where it participated in the International Fair of Canada.
