Intellectual and Cultural
This is a restored building that used to house tobacco (kapnapotheke) and its vast space takes over a whole block in the city’s south-eastern section. The overall space measures 12,000 sq. meters and it is divided in three levels, that is semi-underground, ground-floor and a first floor, Ð-shaped. The building belongs to the Municipality of Xanthi.
A complete study of repair, restoration and use alteration is ready, so that through the proposed building programme it may be used as the Cultural and Intellectual Centre of the Municipality of Xanthi. It is expected that the final form will included an indoor theatre, a tobacco museum, a technological museum, exhibition areas and multiple use areas.
